The 2012 BET HONORS What Extraordinary Looks Like


As we know this is Award season just on Saturday Night we honored and celebrate those at the 27th Annual Stellar Awards celebrating those in Gospel Music, and on Sunday we celebrate the BIGGEST Night in Music with the 54th Annual Grammy Awards their are still a couple of Awards left Friday Night is the NAACP Awards and 2 weeks from now the 84th Annual Academy Awards will be aired on February 26th. But right now I am going to share with you the 2012 BET HONORS, On Monday Night the 2012 BET Honors was aired on BET hosted by Gabrielle Union and here were the Honorees.


Musical Arts Award
Stevie Wonder
Stevie Wonder's name alone evokes visions of musical genius and pop culture history. BET Honors celebrates his accomplishments with the Musical Arts Award.

Service Award
Tuskegee Airmen
The Tuskegee Airmen's excellence and valor during WWII inspired millions of Black people to break barriers and reject the status quo. BET Honors celebrates their accomplishments with the Service Award.

Literary Arts Award
Dr. Maya Angelou
Dr. Maya Angelou's poetry and literature paints pictures with words more vivid than reality. She inspires and empowers, and for that reason BET Honors celebrates her accomplishments with the Literary Arts Award.

Media Award
Spike Lee
Spike Lee's films cause conversation, facilitate change, and have made an indelible mark on pop culture. BET Honors celebrates his accomplishments with the Media Award.


Entertainer Award
Mariah Carey
Mariah Carey's voice is unparalleled. Her incredible rang, whistle registry, record breaking sales and Grammy collection make her the embodiment of a musical legend. BET Honors celebrates her accomplishments with the Entertainer Award.

Education Award
Beverly Kearney
